I am interested in the nineteenth century Anglo-American novel and did some research in Henry James and Percy Lubbock, focusing on their theoretical contribution to the art of fiction as a rhetoric that initiates reader's ethical and aesthetic response. This leads me to the study of theories of plot construction and point of view in prose fiction in terms of their engaging effect upon the "implied reader".
