My Ph.D. thesis and subsequent book publication draws on cognitive psychology to model the characteristics of all acts of narrative understanding. (Narratives Verstehen. Velbrück Wissenschaft, 2011). I am currently specifically interested in the histoire-discours relationship, concepts of focalization and their relation to the embodied mind, and unreliable narration.
