The International Doctoral Program in Global Health, Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Medicine is an interdisciplinary and intersectoral PhD designed and offered by the University of Piemonte Orientale (UPO), through the Center for Research and Training in Disaster Medicine, Humanitarian Aid and Global Health (CRIMEDIM). 
This is a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary and international way, building on your knowledge, skills, interest, and passion to carry out innovative research on global health, humanitarian aid or disaster medicine with mentorship from expert faculty. 

The project aims at identifying the characteristic features of nonfiction literary genre about disasters and conflicts, mainly in terms of linguistic and expressive means, by focusing on a corpus of texts concerning events which have occurred in the last decades. The research also accounts for the similarities with the language used in the communication and perception of the current COVID-19 pandemic
