I specialize in detective fiction and postmodern American literature. My PhD dissertation was on "Narrative Strategies in Raymond Chandler's Fiction". I have published on a number of detective fiction authors and I currently work on James Ellroy with an emphasis on history on the one hand and epistemological concerns on the other (game theory being an aspect that I would like to develop).
My research projects in the near future include the performative dimension of narrative and the exploration of reception of narratives as pragmatic rehearsal, in particular in connection with gender.
