Narratological interest

I am currently working on a dissertation which is focusing on Kazuo Ishiguro's use of narrative in his novels, particularly regarding the development and alteration in the narratology of his later texts. This will result in a comparative analysis between earlier texts (such as "The Remains of the Day"), and later texts ("The Unconsoled," "When We Were Orphans", "Never Let Me Go"). The work is at an early stage, but use shall be made of the works of Ricoeur, Bakhtin, Jahn, Bal, Barthes, Prince, Chatman, Fludernik, Genette, Herman, Jakobson, and Todorov, amongst others. A more detailed exposition of my research will be available on request.
