Narratological interest

Actually, I am working on the narratological field in my thesis in the English Department in Ain Shams University in Egypt. I am very interested to know more about Bakhtin's discourse in the novel and its relation to his concept of the chronotope. In addition , I would like to read more about Mieke Bal 's Narratology , Gerard Genette's theories on narration , and others to relate these theories to Bakhtin's and to Gaston Bachelard's poetics of space. I am interested , thus, as well in the concept of literary space as well as the narrative discourse, esp. the free-direct dicourse and focalisation. I will be very glad to be a member of your society.
