Narratological interest

My thesis is on the concept of "narrative multiplicity" in prose fiction. I
am drawing on the work of poststructuralist theorists such as Gilles Deleuze
and Michel Serres to examine the ways in which narratives are juxtaposed and
embedded (the "narrative of narratives") and create dimensions of narrative
multiplicity. The thesis will test various theoretical approaches to
conceptualising narrative against a wide variety of literary texts, from
Boccaccio's Decameron and Don Quixote to Flann O'Brien and Georges Perec.
