Narratological interest

I am an art historian and my primary interest is in
pictorial narrative. More specifically, I am writing a book on visual
narrative in nineteenth-century academic history and genre painting across
Europe and beyond. I am also interested (at a secondary level) in the links
between words, images and narration, and in narration in early cinema, comics
and videogames. My prime points of reference (at the moment!) are Genette,
Bal, Kemp, Imdahl, Bakhtin, Bordwell and Thompson.
