Narratological interest

My present research lies predominantly in cognitive narratology (particularly
deictic shift theory) and in narrative pedagogy, though other interests
include metafiction, South African literature, and spoken word. I have
presented papers at ISSN, PALA and other conferences on all of these topics,
and published in the Journal of Literary Semantics. I am currently writing a
monograph on deixis in literature.
