Narratological interest

I am interested in Modernist and Postmodernist fiction and have worked on the relationship between metafiction, inter-textuality, parody and other types of formal experimentation with questions such as the definition of self and world, the conception of authorship and the value of art. Related to this is my more recent work on ethics and trauma in contemporary British fiction.
