Narratological interest

My research focuses on narrative forms of contemporary cinema. Main fields of
interests:
- phenomenon of complex, complicated and perplexing film narration (puzzle films, mind-game films, modular narratives, database narratives, network narratives etc.)
- complicated narration patterns in contemporary cinema
- shift in representation systems (form linear narratives to hypertext, rhizome, database)
- narrative games evoking new forms of cinematic reception and spectatorship (how films communicate sense through their complicated narrative structures?)
- cognitive perspective of how complex narrations activate the audiences'
reception
- narrative strategies of representation postmodern problems and experiences (cognitive pessimism, subject in crisis, ontology of digital wolds etc.)
- new forms of cinephilia connected with puzzle films reception and
interpretation: negotiation of film sense among on-line communities
