Narratological interest

PhD proposal to investigate how individual
narratives of women sent to concentration camps interweave with media
narratives during the Third Reich and afterwards. Interested in exploring
issues of inter/subjectivity, female agency, memory and trauma in these
narratives framed in written (i.e. diaries, letters, autobiographies) and
audio-visual texts (i.e. film, documentaries and new media). Further research
interests are in visual/written narratives of European painters/travellers to
Brazil during the 19th century and in city narratives.
