Narratological interest

My research interest is centred on the concept of narrativity. Previous narratologies have produced competing theories and definitions of narrativity, but lack a systematic framework. My thesis delivers this essential framework by utilising an integrative macro model of narrativity that explores the dynamics involved in the reader's search for narrative coherence. In-depth analyses of novels by Laclos, Kafka and Toussaint demonstrate the broad applicability of this theoretical approach.
