Narratological interest

I’m interested in the relationship between narrative theory and ancient narratives, especially in the area of biblical studies. Plot theory has been particularly helpful for analysing biblical narratives as forms of religious encounter, how narrative rhetoric is at the service of the cognitive and experiential exploration of theological questions, both theoretical and practical. In biblical studies, I focus mainly on the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles, which allow the researcher to explore a rich variety of narrative techniques within a vibrant, theological and pragmatic project. For example, I am currently working on a book project that compares the prophetic aspects of Herodotus and Luke.
