Narratological interest

I am a Joseph Conrad and R. L. Stevenson specialist, involved in launching a Franco-Italian project on “Transnational Conrad” and in founding a Study Center on Narration here in Italy. I am a literary critic rather than a theoretician, but with my fellow Conrad scholars we count on mapping the Conrad macrotext in a way that may reveal their potential for a plurality of narratological approaches, and perhaps in the future we may be able to make a contribution to the ongoing debate the ENN makes possible – and from which I count on benefitting as we engage with the contextualist and biographical approaches dominant in my field of study.
