Narratological interest

In my PhD thesis I am working with narrative representations of the city (Kaunas) in Lithuanian literature. My research is based on postclassical narratology (attention to narrative space, description, focalization, perception etc.) and cultural/sociological approaches to narrative. I try to actualize city in Lithuanian literature through the analysis of emerging Kaunas images and narratives, because I see them as an important component of Lithuanian national imagination.
