Examining the bodily responses that a literary text can elicit led me to the study of cognitive narratology along with embedded/embodied cognitive theories, phenomenology, and psychology. Currently I am interested in the nature and the role(s) of the aspects of embodiment in the (plot) structures of prose (20th century and contemporary American novels), with a focus on the reading process.
