Narratological interest

I hold a PhD in Cognitive Narrative Theory & Narratology (Screenwriting) from the University of Birmingham. My monograph entitled "Screenplay and Narrative Theory: The Screenplectics Model of Complex Narrative Systems" investigates the cognitive processes and the fundamental dynamics and mechanics of narrative with a particular focus on the thought processes of screenwriting. My research is focused on how a work of narrative functions structurally, synergistically and systemically, as well as to elucidate the heuristic problem-solving mechanisms that are employed in various structural levels of complex narrative cognitive processes, which allow the coherent accumulative derivative we call a story to emerge.
