Narratological interest

I have worked on axiological structures incorporated into literary texts. In my research, I try to combine axiological dimensions of Mikhail Bakhtin?s literary theory with some fundamental concepts of the formal narratological-rhetorical analysis. Bakhtin regards axiology of the literary text as the dialogical interrelation between the ?axiological horizons? (Voloshinov/Bakhtin?s term) of the implied author, the narrator, characters and a reader. My distinguishing of different ?axiological horizons? is based on the theory of communicative levels in works of fiction, for example, in Wolf Schmid?s scheme, with their specific systems of markers or indexes.
