Narratological interest

I completed my PhD in Literature at the University of Delhi, focusing on Indigenous Narrative Patterns in Post-colonial Bengali novels from both Bangladesh and West Bengal. My research delves into how the structures of performative oral and folk literature from the medieval period contribute to the construction of post-colonial Bengali narratives, and how modern narratives incorporate these performative patterns to tell a story.
I have a deep passion for exploring memoir narratives, particularly those that offer unique perspectives from various countries around the world. My goal is to immerse myself in the narratives of every country, and to date, I have delved into fictional and memoir narratives from approximately 25 nations. My specific interest lies in understanding how countries, historiography, society, and politics collectively shape the narrative fabric.
